Under the
Customs Act 1901(Cth), customs broker licences can only be issued to natural persons, companies or partnerships. A licence cannot be issued to other forms of entity, such as a trust.
You need to ensure you apply for the correct licence type.
Licence types
Corporate customs broker
If you are acting for a company that requires a licence so that they can operate a customs brokerage business or a natural person that wishes to operate a customs brokerage business owned jointly by yourself and other parties (whether natural people or companies) see the Corporate customs broker page.
