The Customs Connect Facility (CCF) is a corporate gateway for clients to connect to the department's cargo-related applications. The smooth movement of cargo depends on industry organisations connecting to the Integrated Cargo System (ICS) through the CCF. CCF processes more than 3 million ICS-related messages per day.
Users who are part of a registered organisation can use ICS functions. The type of access will depend on the organisation-level roles assigned in the ICS Client module.
Some administrators in Identity Manager can assess and limit access to Import Declaration-related functions for each user. This applies to organisations (including sole traders) with the ICS roles of Licensed Brokerage and/or Importer. The following access levels can be used:
- Read Only
- Save, Submit
- Lodge (withdraw)
- Pay EFT
- Amend EDI sites
