Department ATD Acknowledgment

When you submit an Australia Travel Declaration (ATD), the Department of Home Affairs (Department) will collect your personal information. If you are a non-citizen, the ATD will ask you whether you have tuberculosis or criminal convictions, which are ‘sensitive information’ in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Providing your information in an ATD is voluntary. If you withdraw your ATD you may be required to answer the same questions on a paper Incoming Passenger Card when you arrive in Australia.

I understand that I must be 18 years old or over to use the ATD.

In submitting an ATD I acknowledge the following:

  • The Department will collect my personal information that I provide in an ATD, including my sensitive information (where applicable), from Qantas, and disclosing that information to Australian government agencies, state and territory government agencies and contracted service providers for the purposes explained in the Department ATD Privacy Notice.
  • Australian government agencies, state and territory government agencies and contracted service providers will receive my personal information, including my sensitive information (where applicable), from the Department for the purposes explained in the Department ATD Privacy Notice.
  • The Department will communicate with me electronically via the Qantas App and / or the email address I provide in an ATD, including to send the ATD pass and to collect feedback (via survey or research) about my experience using the ATD.

If I am completing an ATD on behalf of another traveller, by proceeding to create and submit an ATD, I declare that I am authorised to make declarations and to make the acknowledgements above on behalf of this traveller.
