Trade and Goods Compliance Advisory Group

The Trade and Goods Compliance Advisory Group (CAG) is a working group of the NCTF. The CAG is a collaborative forum for the department, industry and the Australian Border Force (ABF) to develop solutions to emerging and existing issues. The CAG makes recommendations to the ABF and the department, it is not a decision-making body. It aims to enhance the trade and goods compliance framework and foster positive compliance behaviours.

We provide regular updates to industry on our compliance areas of focus through Continuing Professional Development programmes and the Goods Compliance Update.

For more information, refer to our Approach to Trade and Goods Compliance. This document replaced the former Australian Customs Service’s Regulatory Philosophy.

Meeting Frequency

CAG meets three times a year. Meetings may occur more frequently, as required and agreed by the Chair.
