National Committee on Trade Facilitation
The National Committee on Trade Facilitation (NCTF) allows the government and industry stakeholders to share information and discuss strategic issues that relate to international trade facilitation. It was established to facilitate both domestic coordination and implementation of the provisions of the World Trade Organisation’s Agreement on Trade Facilitation (WTO TFA). As Australia has fully implemented the Agreement, the NCTF continues to monitor, discuss and co-design new opportunities to improve and modernise Australia’s trade system.
This forum, with its mandate derived from the World Trade Organisation (WTO)
Trade Facilitation Agreement, is comprised of:
- representatives from Australia’s peak import and export industry bodies and organisations
- government agencies with interests and equities in trade, commerce and border protection.
The committee convenes twice a year, and is supported by three working groups:
