ASEAN AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND
On 27 December 2009 in Cha-am, Phetchaburi, Thailand, Minister for Trade Simon Crean signed the Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA).
AANZFTA is a free trade agreement between:
- Australia
- Brunei Darussalam
- Cambodia
- Indonesia
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Myanmar
- New Zealand
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Vietnam

Second Protocol to amend AANZFTA
On 21 August 2023 in Semarang, Indonesia, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs the Hon Tim Watts MP signed the Second Protocol to amend AANZFTA (Second Protocol).
The Second Protocol will enter into force 60 days after the date Australia, New Zealand and at least four ASEAN Member States have notified the depository of the completion of their domestic processes.
