The Thailand-Australian Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA) was signed by the Minister for Trade Mark Vaile and his Thai counterpart, the Minister of Commerce Watana Muangsook on 5 July 2004 in Canberra, Australia.
The implementing legislation received the Royal Assent on 21 October 2004 and entered into force on 1 January 2005.
