  1. CTOREMR messages will only be sent as a response to a CTOREM message that has been validated by the CCF.
  2. The Department will always report the CTOREM Senders Reference and Version Number in the CTOREMR message.
  3. CTOREMR messages will indicate ICS acceptance, rejection or error conditions, at the line level for each line reported to the Department.
    1. Up to 50 errors will be reported in a single CTOREMR.
    2. Messages containing 50 or more errors will be rejected.
  4. Errors at the line level will include Error id; Error location and Error description.
    1. The Error location is the line number formatted as L0 = Header, L1 to L999 referring to the line number reported to the Department.
  5. CTOREMR messages responding to a change message will return error information relating to the information that was changed.
  6. If messages relating to the same report are received out of sequence by the user (Message date/time stamp in the UNB segment), the message with the earlier date/time stamp should be rejected.
    1. If two messages have the same date/time stamp then the message arriving later should replace the earlier one.
  7. On rare occasions, CTOREMR messages will be re-transmitted. Retransmissions will be issued with a new message date/time stamp in the UNB segment.
  8. A CTOREMR will be in response to the movement of up to 999 lines of cargo from a CTO premise, which were reported to the Department in a single CTOREM message.
  9. The Department will identify line data by the line number reported to the Department in the originating CTOREM message.
  10. Each line of a CTOREMR will detail one container, one break bulk shipment, or one air way-bill, relating to a single CAN or Exempt line code.
