Customs Data Dictionary

  1. CONREM messages are sent by the Department to an exporter advising them of the impending expiration of the confirming period for the reporting of confirmed export details
  2. CONREM messages are generated when
    1. Details in and EDN are due to be confirmed within the next 24 hrs ie. the 24 hours before the period defined in the confirming exporter agreement.
  3. CONREM messages will list up to 99 CANs or EDNs.
  4. Each CONREM line will contain a CAN and a Customs document type with advice text.
  5. CONREM messages will report all EDN's that are due for confirmation in the next 24hrs.
  6. An EDN will not be repeated on subsequent CONREM messages ie. and EDN that has already been included on a previous CONREM message will not be included in any future CONREM messages. This does not apply to re-transmitted messages
  7. If messages relating to the same response are received out of sequence by the user (Message date/time stamp in the UNB segment), the message with the earlier date/time stamp should be rejected.
    1. If two messages have the same date/time stamp then the message arriving later should replace the earlier one.
