Message Mapping
Customs Data Dictionary
CARREP messages are sent by the Department to a nominated CTO advising them of the Export CANs associated with the export containers listed on an import cargo list.
CARREP messages are generated when
A CTO is listed in an import cargo list, and
The goods are to be exported by sea.
The CTO will need to lodge a CTOREC with the Department for the cargo listed in the CARREP.
CARREP messages will include status type and status description at the message level.
The CARREP will contain:
one Cargo ID (container number or non-containerised identifier) and,
A CAN (Customs Authority Number) or Exempt line code relating to export cargo.
If messages relating to the same response are received out of sequence by the user (Message date/time stamp in the UNB segment), the message with the earlier date/time stamp should be rejected.
If two messages have the same date/time stamp then the message arriving later should replace the earlier one.
